The collection is divided into two overlapping series: Administrative Files, and Projects. Administrative files comprise the bulk of the collection. The series includes correspondence, board of directors meeting minutes, annual reports, membership lists, and grant related materials. The Projects series includes files relating to specific projects that N.M.A.F. was involved with, including exhibitions, field trips to New Mexico towns and Pueblos including Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Socorro, Gallup, Taos and Picuris, church restoration projects, publication of Recording a Vanishing Legacy: The Historic American Buildings Survey in New Mexico, 1933-Today and programs relating to children and architecture.
