Scope and Contents

This diary opens with comments on the number of enrolled students and lack of parental efforts to "provide education experiences of their children." The diary continues with a discussion and evaluation of the teachers that are part of, or have recently joined the staff. Pay records and concerns are also expressed, as well as comments from the student council. Visits to members of the community are recorded throughout, as are concerns over the ways that various children act or play with others. This diary contains letters from the inspector for the Education Department, Board of Education, promotion lists for all grades, individual records (organized by group and name), lists of books each student has read, and assignments for various grades.
