Scope and Contents

Excerpts are from select teacher diaries and include name of the teacher they were taken from, teacher lesson plans, student comments, notes from interactions with families, notes from community meetings and clubs. Brief review of a summer school session. One page contains names of individuals -possibly parents-and their occupations. Survey Results contain: Review of Nambe's agricultural types, health conditions, basic diet, and goal of the school. "Dependency Tabulation, Nambe Community 1938," listing median number of members in a family, acres owned and operated, and tabulation of farm animals owned (horses, cows, sheep, goats), income or "relief".

Prior to being granted access to the collection researchers must sign the attached consent form, agreeing not to disclose information that would be an invasion of privacy of living individuals, not to divulge names of individuals mentioned in the diaries, and to hold harmless and to indemnify UNM and its employees for any loss or damage to them occasioned by the release of the informational content of these materials. This restriction expires January 1, 2050.
