Scope and Contents

Born January 5, 1876 in Trenton, N.J. Tells of his family background including his father who was regular army and fought in the Civil War under Gen. Winfield Scott Hancock and then served as Indian Agent to the Jicarilla Apaches and Mouache Utes at Cimarron and lived at Ft. union. Entered Princeton in 1893, contracted TB, went to Silver City for a year and then returned to Princeton and graduated. Knew Presidents Wilson and Cleveland. Organized a musical comedy company in Silver City called “The Strollers.” John Brockman and his mines.
