Scope and Contents

Describes Paiute wedding basket. On trip from Pueblo Bonito to Mancos Mr. Wetherill had to change horses twice but Mrs. Wetherill rode her pony all the way. Tricks the cowboys played, especially on the easterners. Description of Prof. Pepper (long hair, etc.) and his episode with the bullsnake. The killing of Sofia’s intended bridegroom. Storage room at Bonito containing Mrs. Wetherill’s diaries burns - fire probably set by Minnie Smith. Navajo girl’s abortion by taking cedar berries. Begins telling of trip to the St. Louis Fair in 1893.
