Scope and Contents

Woke up in Bernalillo boarding house with 12-15 people sleeping in the room. Had ridden from Chaco to Bernalillo in one day and night. Sold horses to buy a piano. Freighter got drunk bringing the piano from Albuquerque to Chaco and wrecked wagon dumping piano in the sand. Marcelino went after it and Mrs. Wetherill cleaned it up and used it for years. Describes trick horse named Black Emma. The marriage of Fred Hyde (he really wanted to marry Mrs. Wetherill). Meeting Mrs. Hyde years later. Curing young Richard’s arm with osha and using cactus to cure wounds.
