Scope and Contents

The Hydes became interested in Chaco Canyon at the World’s Fair in Chicago when Richard Wetherill had a display there and they decided to start their exploring expedition at Chaco. Story of a young Navajo girl bitten by a rattlesnake who was treated with strychnine by Dr. Prudden and lived. Navajo superstition concerning twins. Legend of where the Navajos came from - across the Bering Straits. Helping Dr. Hrdlicka get physical measurements of Navajos at Chaco. Trip to Alaska with Dr. Hrdlicka to find Navajo-speaking people but given to credit by Dr. Hrdlicka.
