Scope and Contents

Side #1: Born in Kellerville, Texas in 1970. Came to New Mexico May 12, 1893. Moved first to San Antonio and worked for a brickmason; then drove a mule team fro the railroad. Took a trainload of cattle from Silver City to Dodge City in ’94 and trailed them to the Indian Territory. Killing a rabid fox. Went into the goat business in New Mexico for a short time with Jim Upton. Mined at White Signal with a man named Case. Worked with the Diamond A at Cow Springs. Feeding horses to hogs. Cowboy pranks. September 24, 1956.Side #2: Describes a roundup. Talks about some of the cowboys: Tom Darnell, Pierce Rice, Alec Wilson, Harry Whitehill, Pat Nunn. Stage holdup with payroll for Fort Cummings - driver killed but money never found. Charlie Cantley killed by Jim Fielder in the White House Saloon. Description of chicken fights. Howard Chenoweth killed Perfecto Rodriguez and then escapes jail - later pardoned. Billy Kilburn killed by Fleming.
