Scope and Contents

Side #1: Mr. Stockbridge tells of: the killing of lige Sipes by Sterling Ashby who is in turn killed by Sipes’ son; looking for a lost gold mine with Beauchamp; killing of Frank barrett in Black Jack’s Cave; explains how he learned to read and write without going to school; found tin in the Black Range; starts the story of gold at Rocky Trail. Side #2: Salting mine and selling it to Ira Wright; Dr. Bursum of Denver finding buried gold; various mining operations; running a still on the Sacaton.
