Scope and Contents

Born in Adrian, Mich in 1872. Father died when she was two and her mother took the family to a sister in Central City, Colo. Two years later they went to her mother’s brother, Levi Miller, in Silver City. The mother was remarried there to Jake Abram. Went to Clifton, Ariz. in 1882 by stage from Lordsburg. Her stepfather built the Clifton Hotel. Tells of early days in Clifton, the smelter, the trains, Apache attacks, the school, etc. Later sent to school in San Fancisco. Married at eighteen. Describes floods in Clifton.
