Scope and Contents
Side 1: Came to Las Vegas, N.M. in 1888 and went to work on the Bell Ranch. Drove 3,000 steers from the Bell Ranch to Amarillo - the last 80 miles without water. Attended the trial at Hillsboro of Oliver Lee, Gilliland & McNew for killing Col. Fountain. Friend of Rube Pankey who killed himself. Tells of Felix Miller’s brother, Slick Miller, stealing cattle from the Sanchez brothers on the Rio Grande. Tells stories about Cap Mossman and about Gene Rhodes. Side 2: Martin and Blachly discuss Garrett killing Billy the Kid and the killing of Garrett Miller. Blachly reads an article about Fancisco Bojarquez and they discuss his amazing abilities as a cowpuncher. Mention of Pat Nunn, Tom Darnell, Black Jack Ketchum.
