Scope and Contents

Sides 1 and 2: Stella Nutter Fairlamb and her sisters Bertha Thayer and Evelyn Nutter along with daughter-in-law Ethel Fairlamb and niece Kathleen Thayer. Most of the tape was made by Stella Fairlamb who came to Pueblo, Col. with her family in 1875 as a young child; went to Ouray in 1877 and she and her mother and sister were the first white women to winter in Ouray; the story of Packer eating five men to stay alive; the family settled in Delta in 1888 (the Nutter family); Ouray and Chipeta; the Meeker Massacre; reminiscences of early days in Delta.
