Scope and Contents

Mr. Dean lived in Capitan, was eighty-four years old when the recordings were made and rode the range all day. He reminisces about bear and lion hunting; working for Montague Stevens and stories of Mr. and Mrs. Stevens; trail drive to Wyoming. The last 15 minutes of this tape is Lou Blachly telling his trying experiences getting recordings from J. Stokley Ligon and Maurice Fulton and gives some background as to what is on the Fulton tapes.
