Cowboy pranks; saw 14 men shot down in his lifetime including Fred Grossetete and Jarrett and John Davis, Frank Horn & Scott Reid killing each other over a monte game in Magdalena, Wiley Rainbolt killing Jess Boyd over a horse, Salty John Cox killing Carter in Magdalena; stories of Ben and Newt Kemp; experiences with Black Jack Ketchum and chasing him into Mexico to recover horses he stole; Apache Kid killing a Mexican and his boy.
Reminiscences of Western New Mexico. Paid $6,500 for Montague Stevens' remnants. In two years rounded up 3,000 head of cattle. Saw 14 men killed. Was a peace officer. Black Jack stole 19 horses. Followed him 75 miles into Mexico.
