Scope and Contents

Mr. Brock tells of: shooting and Apache when he was bear hunting; repeats Sam Eckles story of the killing of Bullard by the Indians; Gen. Miles sending the Apaches to Florida; helped bury six of seven persons killed by Indians and says most were mutilated; Owen Wister being at Apache Tejo and then wrote The Virginian with Brock in mind as the hero.
