Scope and Contents

Drouths [droughts] of 1893-1904. Tells Col. Hudson’s story of the killing of Mangas Colorado and his grave at Apache Tejo; the changes in the land around Apache Tejo - desolate from overgrazing; the Diamond A had 3000 horses at one time and finally killed many of them and fed them to the hogs; driving the hogs to Deming for shipment; the formation of the arroyos.
