From the Sub-Series:
The counties of New Mexico in 1885 consisted of the following: Bernalillo, Colfax, Doña Ana, Grant, Lincoln, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Santa Fe, Sierra, Socorro, Taos and Valencia. Some schedules are missing. Portions of others are virtually illegible due to ink fade. Included also are special schedules of the following: Veterans of the Union Volunteer Forces and Regular Army; Veterans of the Confederate Army; and Land Grants enumerated by county. Microfilmed at a ratio of 16 à 1.
