An act approved by the 1882 Legislature created the Territorial Board of Equalization, composed of the Governor, the Auditor and the Attorney General, to examine the various assessments and equalize the tax rate in the various counties. Only the minute book for the years 1887-1911 has been microfilmed., 1851-1911.
