The documents in this roll are official Spanish Archives which were not among those sent to the Library of Congress in 1903, returned to New Mexico in 1924, and listed by Ralph Emerson Twitchell in The Spanish Archives of New Mexico, Vol. II. The originals are to be found in the special collections of the Archives Division of the State Records Center and of the Zimmerman Library of the University of New Mexico.
