Scope and Content

From the Collection: MS-14, IAIA Artists Files (48 cu. ft), consist of primary and secondary source material related to Native American Artists. The collection is arranged alphabetically by artists last name. The artists files has been growing consistently since 1971 and is the most complete set of records on Native American artists available for research.

Each file will contain different materials related to the artist. Newspaper clippings, exhibit catalogs, application letters, slides of photographs, photographic prints, creative writing samples, admission records, and other biographical materials.

Access is by appointment only. There may be restrictions to this collection; please contact the archivist for more information. From the Collection: 6 legal size 4 drawer filing cabinets. The collection is located on the campus of IAIA, Santa Fe, New Mexico. The archives are located in the Library & Technology Center.
