Scope and Contents note

From the Series: The first series of the Winona Garmhausen Papers is divided into three Sub-Series: Published Editions and Drafts, Hand-Written Notes and Other Writings. The first sub-series, Published Editions and Drafts, consists of documents that reflect the printed and typed writings of her Research Proposal, Comprehensive Examination, Doctoral Dissertation, and Published Editions between 1972 and 1987. The second sub-series, Hand-Written Notes, consists of original notes written on yellow legal pages as Ms. Garmhausen researched and wrote her dissertation. It contains reminders, class and interview notes, research notes, correspondence, memos, drafts, telephone messages, bibliography and footnotes between 1975 and1982. The third sub-series, Other Writings, consists of essays, reports and reflections by Winona Garmhausen and various members of her doctoral advisory committee on different subjects between 1931 and 1983.
