Manuscript material related to Gustave Baumann’s marionettes. Includes programs designed by Baumann for marionette shows; handwritten scripts for marionette plays; Baumann's writings about the marionettes; administrative documents; sketches; notes; and Baumann's list of marionettes. Baumann’s marionette theater, known as The Santa Fe Puppet Wranglers and later Teatro Duende, held regular public performances in Santa Fe between 1932 and 1941, with a brief tour in Central City, Colorado in 1933. The final performance of the Baumann marionettes took place at the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe in 1959.
