"Blumenschein Led Artists to Taos," The Taos News, Visitors' Guide, 5 June 1980, is an HGB interpretation of the early Taos art community, includes photos of Blumenschein house (interior and exterior) and of ELB paintings "Jury for Trial..." and "Ourselves and Taos Neighbors."

"Ernest Blumenschein ... only to paint," Southwest Art, October 1982, is a lengthy biography of ELB and early Taos memories of HGB. Also includes announcement of Sherry Brown, A Passion for Excellence, Fenn Publishing. Article includes photos of the following ELB paintings: "Peacemaker" (1913), "Church at Ranchos de Taos" (pre-1917), "The Plasterer" (1921), "Dance at Taos" (ca. 1923), "Moon, Morning Star, Evening Star" (n.d.), "Jury for Trial of a Sheepherder..." (1936), "The Burro" (1929), "Superstition" (n.d.), "Penitentes" (n.d.), "Indian Girl" (1931), "Desert Mining Camp" (1936-40), "Florence" (pencil sketch, n.d.), "Afternoon of a Sheepherder" (1939).

"Those Fabulous Blumenscheins - the Romance of the Ernest L. and Mary Greene Blumenschein Home," Taos Profile, October 1983, is a lengthy biography with detailed description of the house (two copies, one of which is marked/annotated by HGB), includes photos of the Taos home, MGB, ELB, and the New York studio.

"New Mexico: A Haven for Artists," New Mexico Magazine, February 1984, gives a historical overview of artists in New Mexico including the original six painters of the Taos Society of Artists; includes photo of the six founders of the society.

"Artists Discover New Mexico," Taos-Santa Fe Sun Times, February 1987, is a reprint from the Santa Fe New Mexican (1939), includes a photo of ELB next to the broken wagon.

"Will this be 'The Year of the Taos Society of Artists?'," Art-Talk, April-May 1988, discusses the renewed interest in the artwork of the society, includes ELB paintings "Jury for Trial...," "Sangre de Cristo Mountains," and photo of society members (w/ signatures on the photo).
