"Artist E. L. Blumenschein Dies," The Taos News, 9 June 1960, with photo of ELB at easel.
"The Pioneer Artists of Taos," The American Scene, Fall 1960, holds articles on the original six artists with photos of the following paintings: "Self Portrait," "Taos Pueblo" [caption changed to "Ranchos Church"], "Enchanted Forest," and "Moon, Morning Star, Evening Star."
"Pioneers Brought Art Spirit to Taos," Santa Fe New Mexican, 12 November 1967, recounts the broken wheel story, with a photo of ELB and Bert Phillips.
