Scope and Contents

The collection contains photographic documentation projects done by Martin Stupich. Additions to the collection are expected.

The first series (initial collection) documents the historic De Anza Motor Lodge in Albuquerque, NM, as of 2016. Included are photographic prints (color and black and white), contact sheets, negatives, DVDs with TIFF and JPEG files, and an index to the photographs. General and detail views of the De Anza are included. Noteworthy are color photographs of the historic Zuni murals by Tony Edaakie. This is Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) project, NM-230.

Biographical Information

Martin Stupich was born in the Midwest. He earned his master's degree in photography from Georgia State University. Stupich has been photographing the built environment for historians, architects, and engineers since 1980. Funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Library of Congress HABS/HAER/HALS programs, Army Corps of Engineers, and the Smithsonian Institution has sustained his career. He has taught, exhibited and published widely.
