Abstract This collection contains audiotaped interviews, news clippings, articles, pamphlets, brochures, news letters, correspondence, and a scrapbook documenting the life and social career of Concha Ortiz y Pino de Kleven.

Scope and Content The collection consists of the original donation (processed April 1981) and two subsequent additions. Included in the collection are typed and hand written manuscripts of plays, poems, essays and reviews. Newspaper articles document Mares' life as poet, playwright, social critic and historian. Abstract This collection contains records of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Carlsbad chapter. Materials relate to local, regional and national LULAC activities and policies. This collection documents LULAC's involvement with immigrant rights, education, and issues concerning the elderly. The collection was amassed by Ursulo Castillo.

Scope and Content Note The bulk of the collection materials are from 1973-1976 when Rupert Trujillo was chair of the Task Force. The materials focus on activities of the Task Force, particularly on conferences and workshops held during that time. There are several files related to bilingual-bicultural education, both in creating training programs and trying to get legislation passed. The collection also contains several reports of activities from around the country.

Scope and Content The collection contains material collected by Sabine Ulibarri and others and includes typescripts of Ulibarrí's short stories, correspondence, news clippings, educational program brochures and photos that highlight Sabine Ulibarrí's writting, projects, achievements and awards.
