Helen Blumenschein Collection

Scope and Content This is a minimally processed collection of primarily personal family photographs, many not identified. There are an abundant number of photos of Helen G. Blumenschein, her artist parents Ernest and Mary, including her time in the military, her family, and travels. There are negatives for which there are no prints and vice versa. Some notation on envelopes and backs of photos.

William Henry Jackson Photographs

Scope and Content This significant collection of W.H. Jackson was acquired over the years through donation and purchase and includes some of the earliest photographs of New Mexico. The collection includes ca. 1866 carte de visites of Pawnee chiefs taken in Omaha, photographs of early Santa Fe and many official Geologic Survey prints produced for circulation in Washington DC.

Scope and Content Collection consists of some 300 early images by various photographers of primarily southwestern Indian subjects, printed in a variety of formats and sizes (cabinet cards, stereos, boudoir cards, etc.) from the 1870s through 1912.
