Abstract This collection contains testimony from the U.S. Court of Private Land Claims regarding the legitimacy of the Caja del Rio grant involving a legal dispute between the descendants of Nicolas Ortiz, Ni?o Ladr?n de Guebara (the original grantee) and Willi Spiegelberg. It also includes legal documents confirming genealogy of the Ortiz family and records of sales of this land in 1860 from the Ortiz family through various owners, to Thomas B. Catron in 1909.

Scope and Content The Fairview Cemetery Collection consists of photocopies of the original interment and plot ownership records of Santa Fe's Fairview Cemetery. These records were kept by the Santa Fe Woman's Club.

The first half of the Fairview Cemetery Collection consists of alphabetized interment records and the second half of alphabetized plot ownership records.

Scope and Content Collection consists of naturalization records from New Mexico courts in the form of loose documents and docket books. Records include Declarations of Intent, Petitions for Naturalization, and Certificates of Naturalization. Loose documents also contain some correspondence of district court clerks concerning naturalization.

Scope and Content Collection consists of the court clerk correspondence for the 1st Judicial District Court, the 3rd Judicial District Court, the 4th Judicial District Court, the 6th Judicial District Court, and the 8th Judicial District Court (1879-1970). The bulk of correspondence covers the years 1879-1912 and 1960-1970. Some correspondence for the 1st and 4th Judicial District Courts is located in letterpress books (1897-1911). Scope and Content Collection consists of the territorial and New Mexico district court records for Santa Fe County, New Mexico (1846-1951). The bulk of the material covers the years 1846-1920. Included are record books (1849-1922), case files (1846-1951), and other court material. Record books consist of various dockets (1849-1920), court proceedings records books (1849-1912), a record of money judgements (1891-1922), Chancery Record (1873-1880) and a fee journal (1874-1880).
