Armijo and Gallagher families papers
The Armijo and Gallagher families papers include personal, business and legal documents primarily concerning Nestor Armijo’s involvement in mercantile and ranching interests during the late-1800s in southern New Mexico. The bulk of the papers document how the Armijo family established itself as one of the most well-known mercantile families of territorial New Mexico. A good deal of material pertains to the Armijo home, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.

William J. Weatherby papers
Papers of William J. Weatherby and his wife, Laura Weatherby, an Alma, New Mexico, couple involved in mining and ranching operations. The collection consists primarily of correspondence, most of it relating to the promotion and development of various mines in the Mogollon Mountains near Cooney, New Mexico. Other correspondence is of a personal nature and provides a glimpse into turn-of-the century ranch life. Some legal papers, reports and printed material are also included.
