Gloria Montoya Chavez Papers
This collection contains the papers of Gloria Montoya Chavez, a student, administrator, writer, and advocate for Chicano/a and other minority issues. These papers deal with professional, personal, and political struggle within the University of New Mexico’s Chicano Studies and Chicano Student Services, also known as Hispanic Student Services, and in the surrounding community.
Karl Kernberger Pictorial Collection
This collection contains photographs by Karl Kernberger spanning many subjects, geographical areas and times. It is grouped as political photographs, book projects, miscellaneous photography, audio and moving images, and images from the Trailway Tour exhibition. The 2022 addition focuses on photographs of the southwest.
Reies Tijerina Papers
The collection contains the papers of New Mexico land grant activist Reies Lopez Tijerina, best known for founding the Alianza Federal de Mercedes. The group organized heirs seeking to regain Spanish and Mexican land grants protected under the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, an important component of the Chicano Movement.
