Adobe buildings

Content Description Twenty photographs on card mounts of Las Cruces, 1899-1900, possibly taken by Charles Fulton Neale and/or Katharine Meadows Neale, his wife. The photographs depict scenes and people around Las Cruces, New Mexico. The backs of the photographs contain descriptive information handwritten in pencil, presumably by the Neales.

Scope and Content The Paul Graham McHenry drawings illustrate the construction, restoration and preservation of adobe and earthen buildings. Throughout these drawings, conservation and concern for the environment is a consistent theme. For example, solar panels and alternative building materials are utilized throughout.
