Scope and Contents Series I: Los Matachines de Alcalde contains photographs of the Matachines dances in northern New Mexico, a tradition shared by Pueblo and Hispano communities. Hall took this series of photographs in Alcalde in the 1980s. Some of the photos in this set were done for a New Mexico Magazine piece in 1986.
