Scope and Content
This collection contains 36 sound tapes of ceremonial dances recorded in the field during the 44th Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial, held in Gallup, N.M., August 12-15, 1965. The tapes contain music from Native American peoples from Mexico and across the United States, including the Southwest, Plains, Pacific Coast and Southeast.
