Abstract The bulk of the collection includes the research files of Nora Henn (nee Johnson)and materials by and collected by Alice Blakestad. The collection is approximately 100 linear feet of material. The collection consist of primary and secondary sources to publish her own historical writings on Lincoln County. Scope and Content This small collection consists of manuscripts of "Final Chapter in the Life of Billy the Kid, Worst of All the Bad Men," published in Clayton News and Southwest Plainsman and an undated manuscript of "The Last Hours of Billy the Kid." Scope and Contents Includes playbills of the 1956 and 1957 pageant “The Last Escape of Bill the Kid”, programs, articles, correspondence and a lengthy typed article on Lincoln and the history of the pageant.
