This collection contains correspondence, publications, articles, and clippings by and about Edwin Arlington Robinson. The material was compiled by two of Robinson's friends, Esther Willard Bates and Winfield Townley Scott. Bates was a playwright who met Robinson at the MacDowell Colony. Possessing the rare ability to read Robinson's handwriting, she became his typist and the first reader of his manuscripts.
