Abstract This collection, containing the official records of the 1992 commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the Columbian Quincentenary, documents the intellectual and social trends, contributions, and controversies surrounding the commemoration.

Scope and Contents / Alcance y Contenido This collection consists of an album of 63 photographs. When it was bound it was entitled “Views of Central America and Mexico”. However, it is important to note that most of the photographs, if not all, were taken in Guatemala during the late 19th century, which was an important economic transition period in Guatemalan history.
