Alice C. Fletcher Collection,

Scope and Content This collection consists of records from the School of American Archaeology in Santa Fe. Includes minutes, announcements, pamphlets, clippings, reports, official correspondence, and financial documents. Much of the correspondence involves officials at the School of American Archaeology and its parent institution the Archaeological Institute of America, including Edgar Hewett, Charles Lummis, Francis Kelsey, and Charles Bowditch, as well as scholars such as Jesse Fewkes.

Edgar L Hewett Collection,

Scope and Content Collection contains Edgar L. Hewett's personal and business papers and covers the years 1905 to 1947. The folders are mostly in chronological order until Hewett's death in 1946, although the letters are not strictly in order by date. Folders in the later boxes are in alphabetical order by subject matter, and sometimes these are in reverse chronological order. Edward E. Crocker Records from the Excavation and Restoration of the Santuario de Guadalupe, Santa Fe, N.M.

Abstract This collection is a well documented history of the excavation and restoration of the Santuario de Guadalupe in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It documents the archaeology conducted by Edward Crocker and his firm when burials were discovered beneath the floor of the church during restoration work. Resulting social and cultural dynamics of the community relating to the church, its renovation and the archaeology are also covered in the collection.

Florence Hawley Ellis Collection,

Scope and Content The collection consists of assorted personal and professional papers. In addition to private and professional correspondence, the collection contains many academic papers written by Ellis' students and other scholars in the field.

Helen Blumenschein Collection,

Identifier: AC 376
Scope and Content There is material from her war service, correspondence, drawings, and publications. Her historical writings about Taos valley and other areas in New Mexico are included. Research manuscripts on archaeology and history are in the collection. In addition, there are materials from many of the organizations that interested Blumenschein, such as the Wilderness Society. There is also banking and tax material.

Scope and Content Collection consists of a photocopy of a typed manuscript titled "Memoirs of Jack P. Mills;" a family tree and references. Included are newspaper clippings on Jack P. Mills and a promotional piece on Clayton, New Mexico.

Scope and Content The collection consists of correspondence and related materials of Royal A. Prentice dating from the 1930s. These literary materials consist of Prentice's correspondence relative to his avid hobby of Southwestern archaeology; which included a very close association with the Museum of New Mexico's Laboratory of Anthropology.
