Abstract

Amador Publishers, Albuquerque, NM, was founded by husband and wife Harry Willson and Adela Amador in 1986. In 2006, Willson and Amador changed Amador Publishers to Amador Publishers, LLC, with Zelda Leah Gatuskin as co-owner and managing editor. Amador Publishers, LLC, has published more than thirty titles from more than fifteen authors. Harry Willson, himself, was a writer of fiction, satire, social commentary, and philosophy. Willson believed his authors emphasized themes he valued: peace, ecology, harmony, and feminism. Adela Amador wrote the “Southwest Flavor” column in New Mexico Magazine from its 1993 inception until 2006. The column wove recipes with stories of growing up in an earlier time.
