A New Mexico Romeo and Juliet Story by Fray Angelico Chavez; A Santa Fe couple whose parents' objected to their desired marriage. The Armijo's and the Baca's- Don Antonio Baca, Bernalillo, went to Santa Fe, the Baca's had come with Oñate. 1695 families come from Zacateca to New Mexico- among them were the Armijo's. One son, a barber (similar to a physician). The Spanish faction of the New Mexico faction. On August 10, 1733, Francesca Baca and Manuel Primero, the Vicar in Santa Fe married them that day.
