From the biographical note in Taos: A Topical History:
A professional editor, Julia Moore moved permanently to Taos in 2004. Shortly thereafter, she began working with Corina Santistevan and the Taos County Historical Society as publishing advisor and the editor of Taos: A Topical History. Her undergraduate degree was from Pomona College; she held an MA from New York University's Institute of Fine Arts and an MLS from Rutgers University. From 1989 through 2004, she was with Harry N. Abrams, publisher, editing several editions Janson's History of Art and many other major trade books and textbooks in the fields of art, art history, architecture, and the humanities. As an independent editor, her work increasingly focused on the history and culture of the Southwest.
