General

An overview of the participants, presentations, and discussions is available in the proceedings reports for each conference, as well as a daily agenda. For this conference, there were approximately nine people in the room, and over three days (March 21-23) they discussed Chaco organizational models, chiefdoms, network vs. corporate systems, complexities of the system, pit structures, ceramics, household and society economies, burials, lithics, groundstone, turqouise, production workshops, and a lenghty summary of topics for which the groups worked on a consensus. Of note: the sessions often used visual aids such as maps, book images, and outlines of discussion on the blackboard. In addition, there is an audio cassette recording on March 20th, 1999, a public lecture by Colin Renfrew: "Archeology and Languag: The Puzzle of Indo-European Origins".
