Scope and Content

From the Sub-Series: Illustrates the Remote Sensing Division’s activities while consulting with fifty-seven NPS units on their own remote sensing projects. Such projects include photogrammetric mapping, photointerpretation, and photomodeling. Also included are working files from archeological field studies performed based on information gleaned from the maps produced by aerial photography. The division worked with parks such as Bandelier National Monument, Canyon De Chelly National Monument, Hovenweep National Monument, Mesa Verde National Park, Pecos National Historical Park, Petroglyph National Monument, Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument, and Wupatki National Monument. Folder titles use versions of the park names and abbreviations of park names that were current at the time the records were processed.
