History:
In 2000, Malde prepared two (single copy) reports for CCNHP entitled "Repeat Photography at Chaco Canyon Based on Photographs Made During the 1896-1899 Hyde Expedition and in the 1970s" and "Repeat Photography at Chaco Canyon NHP Based on Photographs Made in the 1930s, 1970s and the Year 2000." During the 1970's, Malde repeated several photographs made during the 1896-1899 Hyde Expedition (which were attributed to Richard Wetherill.) These matching photographs became the subject of the former report which also included a photograph from 1950 which was repeated in 1976. In the latter report, Chauvenet 1930s photographs, Gordon Vivian 1940s photographs and the photographs Malde himself made in the 1970s for the first comparision were repeated. Sites included in the reports are Kin Bineola, Mockingbird Canyon, Fajada Butte, Una Vida, Chetro Ketl, Pueblo Bonito, Casa Rinconada and Ruin BC-51. These two reports were also published by Wright Paleohydrological Institute circa 2001.
