Subseries A consists of correspondence, inventories, monthly reports concerning UNM Field School, WPA
correspondence, forms, and records.
Subseries B consists of WPA reports, management memos, forms, correspondence to and from Reiter regarding WPA work.

Biographical / Historical
Paul Reiter was Foreman for and ran a WPA ( Works Progress Administration) project at Chaco
from approximately 1937-1939, during which time the WPA contract was shifted from SAR (School of American Research) to
UNM (University of New Mexico). On February 1, 1938 UNM and SAR terminated shared staffing arrangements.
