Scope and Content

From the Collection: This collection consists of the personal papers of Jerrold L. Walden, a law professor at the University of New Mexico from 1954-1956 and 1969-1975. He held several other positions in different places, but the material is only from his two stints at UNM. He preserved almost all of the aspects of his research including his notes and rough drafts. He also maintained research and lecture files for some of his classes.

Biographical-Miscellaneous Materials- Correspondence/Legal Cases: Box 1 contains biographical materials, awards and certificates, correspondence covering the years from 1938 to 1975 and the files of two cases in which Walden was the litigant.

Research Files: Articles and Books: Box 2 contains a series of files which led to the publication of several articles and books. They include his research notes and rough drafts of his publications.

Lectures and Research Files: Box 3 includes several folders containing materials on the classes he taught. The folders include research notes and typewritten copies of the lectures he presented.
