From the Sub-Series:
This is the original governing board of the hospital. All three members were chosen by the Governor who also chose the head of the board. The other two were given their positions by the head of the board. They oversaw the functioning of the hospital and hired all personnel.

This group was formed as a result of the union between Carrie Tingley Hospital and the University of New Mexico.
