Biographical / Historical

Dr. Leonard H. Akes (1918-2006) of Española, New Mexico practiced medicine in New Mexico. A family practitioner, Dr. Akes came to Espanola in 1951 to work with the United Brethren Church medical mission and remained in family practice there for more than 40 years.
