Biographical / Historical
The College of Pharmacy began in 1945 and was the first professional health college at UNM. The first class consisted of 33 students. The College currently offers the only doctor of pharmacy degree in New Mexico as well as other master's and doctorate degrees. It also houses the New Mexico Poison and Information Center and the New Mexico Center for Isotopes in Medicine. The College of Pharmacy was originally housed in a building designed by John Gaw Meem.
