Scope and Content
From the Collection:
This collection contains documents from the New Mexico State Tuberculosis Sanatorium between the years of 1943 and 1954. Included in the collection are administrative documents from the sanatorium including occupancy reports from February 1950 to February 1954, financial reports from 1950 to 1953, financial papers from 1950 to 1953 and other documents pertaining to the facility's policies and regulations during the period. In addition, the minutes and correspondence from the medical staff meetings held between 1950 and 1954 are included as well as correspondences concerning patient complaints, nursing disputes and general correspondences. This collection also contains two undated, miscellaneous documents concerning a lightning protection bid and an article on the sanatorium and the 1952 booklet for the sanatorium published by the Department of Public Welfare.
