Scope and Content From the Collection: Predominantly large format landscape photographs of U.S. West, including parks such as Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Garden of the Gods. California subjects include San Francisco and its Chinatown. There are a few photographs of missions in the Southwest. Of note is an image by Chase of the chief of scouts who captured Geronimo.
